Spring Japan (IJ) Special Refund Policy and Procedures

Spring Japan (IJ) has launched a dedicated portal to handle refund requests related to specific special situations. This process is designed to streamline the submission and approval of eligible refund claims.

Important Notice:

Although involuntary refund provisions are included in Spring Japan publicly stated policy, for this specific situation, the airline has designated "voluntary refund" as the only application channel (this applies to both system and manual processing channels).

You may refer to the policy below:

How to Submit Your Refund Request

Follow the steps below to ensure your request is processed correctly and without delay.

Step 1: Submit a “Voluntary Refund” Request in ATRIP

This is a mandatory initial step. Submit the refund request as Voluntary Refund in ATRIP. Once the request is submitted, the system will automatically synchronize the refund application with Spring Japan through the interface.

Note: The service fee displayed in the system is a withholding amount and does not represent the final settlement amount.

Step 2: Submit a Service Fee Refund Request (IMPORTANT)

After completing the refund request in ATRIP, you must submit a separate application to request a refund of the service fee through the ticketing system:

  • Select the work order category: [Feedback/Dispute]

  • Clearly specify the following in the ticket content: “Applying for an involuntary refund under Spring Japan special policy. Order number: XXXX. Requesting refund of service fee.”

If you need to request service fee refunds for multiple orders, you may compile the details weekly or monthly, consolidate them into a table, and submit them in a single ticket.

After the application is submitted, Atlas will assign a dedicated team member to verify eligibility based on Spring Japan special involuntary refund policy. Once confirmed, the service fee will be refunded accordingly.
