What types of refunds does Atlas handle?
Atlas handles various types of ticket refunds supported by airlines, including:
Voluntary refunds – when the passenger requests a cancellation.
Involuntary refunds – when the airline makes changes (e.g., flight cancellations or schedule changes).
Void tickets
Special scenarios, such as duplicate booking refunds and denied boarding refunds
Refunds are supported for tickets issued through both Pay to Atlas and VCC Passthrough methods. Refund eligibility is not restricted by the original ticket payment method.
Note:
Due to PCI rules, Atlas cannot retain the full credit card number provided by the airline during the refund process, so it does not support airline HD refunds in the VCC Passthrough scenario.
Due to the fact that applications for refunds due to illness or death involve complex review procedures of airlines, requiring the submission of a large number of certificates and multiple communications, processing them through Atlas will seriously affect efficiency. To ensure service quality and timeliness, we are temporarily unable to accept the "illness and death refund" business and recommend handling it directly through the official channels of the airline.
