Bring Your Own Account (BYOA)

The BYOA (Bring Your Own Account) functionality is specifically for Travel Sellers with direct airline partnerships. This feature mitigates the challenges of resource allocation by providing an out-of-the-box solution by using their own credentials for fulfillment via Atlas. Atlas’s BYOA solution drastically reduces technical friction, providing travel sellers with immediate commercial autonomy and the ability to leverage existing airline contracts without costly development or integration efforts.

What are the advantages of using the BYOA?

Atlas' BYOA provides a seamless pathway that puts commercial control entirely in the hands of travel sellers' airline direct contracts, delivering speed-to-market without technical or operational compromise.

Unique Features

  • Zero-Integration: Rapid, turnkey onboarding with no dev resources needed.

  • Operational Simplicity: Minimal change management and no workflow disruption.

  • Speed & fare accuracy with reduced L2B risk: fare search is done with Atlas public fare, not customer's account hence mitigating L2B risk.

  • Commercial Independence: Customers retain direct airline-linked rebates, reward points, and settlements, while independently managing their own credentials, contracts, and terms.

Are there any pre-requisites for using this product?

There are no prerequisites for using this product except that Atlas should have activated the product for the required airline.

What is the BYOA workflow?

Currently, BYOA supports the configuration of credentials of various airlines in ATRIP. Atlas does not support the real-time requests of private fares using customers' credentials. This is because Atlas' fares are cached and it is not possible to make real-time requests using customers' credentials due to response time and L2B challenges.

In the future, it is planned that based on the published fare collection by Atlas, customers will be supported to configure calculation rules to calculate their own private fare rates.

Starting from "verify-order-payment", customers' credentials will be used to request the airlines. Customers' credentials will be used to generate orders, make payments and issue tickets.

Workflow Diagram

How do I configure my airline credentials for use via Atlas?

Step 1: Click on "BYOA" in ATRIP

Step 2: Click on "Create Account". A pop-up window will be displayed. Select the "Airline" and the "Vendor" from the drop-down menu. Once selected, the field for the "Parameters & Value" would be accessible. Enter your airline API credentials and click on "Confirm".

Step 3: Once this configuration is created, the user needs to click the hyperlink on the "BYOA Management" screen and change the status to "online". Once the status is "Online", the fulfillment will be done using the customers' credentials. These transactions will be reflected on the airline's side as being done by the customer.
