# Ryanair (FR) Refund Policy

According to our agreement with Ryanair, Atlas is only responsible for handling the post-booking refund requests listed below. For other post-booking needs such as flight changes, purchasing additional services (e.g. baggage, seat selection), or correcting passenger information — please visit the airline's [official website](https://www.ryanair.com/).

#### Scope of Refund Supported by Atlas

* Involuntary refund
* Refund for seats due to aircraft change
* Government Tax
* Refund for Bereavement

#### Refund Policy and Rules

1. **Involuntary Refund**

If the flight is rescheduled or delayed due to Ryanair's reasons, the OTA may determine whether an involuntary refund can be requested for the passenger according to the following rules:

**Earlier Departure**

* Earlier by more than an hour: Refundable
* Earlier by less than an hour: Non-refundable

**Delayed Departure**

* Delayed for more than 5 hours: Refundable
* Delayed for less than 5 hours: Non-refundable

Note: Final eligibility is subject to Ryanair's review.

2. **Seat Refunds**

Passengers who have been moved aircraft and whose "extra legroom seat" was not available are eligible for a refund.

**Eligibility:**

* The passenger purchased an extra legroom seat;
* The original seat could not be provided due to an aircraft change by Ryanair;
* The passenger can provide proof of the original seat purchased and the new seat received.

**Evidence required:** The OTA will need collect original seat purchase record and proof of new seat information from passengers. This information is typically available on the boarding pass.

**Refund processing:** If the evidence provided meets the requirements, the OTA can process the refund for the passenger.

Note: These refunds may also be spot checked by Ryanair to confirm the passenger has been refunded.

3. **Government Tax**

Government Tax is available to be claimed back by a passenger who did not fly, but must be requested by the passenger — it will not be processed without a claim.

**Eligibility:**

* The passenger did not board the flight;
* The ticket price includes refundable government taxes and fees.
* For a full list of taxes and fees, please refer [here](https://www.ryanair.com/ie/en/useful-info/help-centre/Government-tax-table/government-tax-table);
* The claim must be submitted within one month of the flight departure date.

**Fees:**

* Ryanair charges a €/£20 administration fee to process Government Tax refunds.
* If the claim is eligible, this fee will be charged to the OTA's card used at the time of booking.
* Ryanair advises OTA to pass this charge on to passengers.

Note: These refunds may also be spot checked by Ryanair to confirm the passenger has been refunded.

4. **Bereavement**

If the passenger or a fellow traveller is unable to travel due to the death of an immediate family member, the OTA can assist with submitting a bereavement refund claim. Applications must be submitted within 10 days before the flight departure. Full terms and conditions are available [here](https://www.ryanair.com/ie/en/useful-info/help-centre/terms-and-conditions/termsandconditionsar_1182589074).

Immediate family members include only:

* Spouse or civil partner
* Children (including stepchildren)
* Parents (including stepparents)

**Evidence required**: The OTA must collect the following from the passenger:

* Death notice with date of bereavement within 10 days of intended travel;
* The death certificate/death notice within 10 days prior to the booked departure date;
* Proof of the passenger's relationship to the deceased;
* Confirmation of the number of passengers on the booking who require a refund.

**Refund processing and settlement**: Ryanair will review the refund case, and upon approval, will directly issue Travel Credits to the passenger, which is the price of the Ryanair ticket already paid. OTA partners do not need to refund passengers; the relevant amounts are settled directly between Ryanair and the passengers.
