# Atlas VOID Service Policy Explanation

VOID is a post-booking service that allows clients to void an eligible ticket within the airline's permitted VOID window after ticket issuance. VOID and refund are two distinct types of post-booking service. Atlas manages VOID as an independent post-booking service and does not categorise it under refunds or special refund processing.

Atlas provides automated system acceptance, submission, and result synchronisation for VOID requests. Whether a VOID request is ultimately successful depends on airline rules, the applicable VOID window, booking status, and system response.

#### Scope of Acceptance

Atlas currently supports VOID requests submitted through our platform for eligible bookings. A booking must meet all of the following conditions:

* The booking was ticketed through Atlas
* The relevant airline has VOID service enabled on the platform
* The VOID request is submitted within the applicable system VOID window
* The booking status meets the conditions for VOID processing
* The system supports automated submission and result return for that booking

To reduce the risk of VOID failure due to approaching airline deadlines, Atlas applies system VOID windows based on each airline's VOID rules:

* For airlines that permit voiding within 24 hours of ticketing, the Atlas system VOID window is set to within 23 hours of ticketing.
* For airlines that permit voiding on the day of ticketing only, the Atlas system VOID window closes at 23:30 on the day of ticketing.

VOID service coverage will expand progressively based on airline policy and system support. Whether a specific booking is eligible for VOID can be confirmed via ATRIP or the API response.

The following scenarios are not currently supported: PNR split VOID, partial passenger VOID, partial segment VOID, and any scenario requiring offline or manual processing.

#### Processing Principles

**24/7 Automated Processing:** The system supports round-the-clock automated processing. Clients may submit a VOID request at any time, provided the request falls within the applicable system VOID window and meets all relevant conditions.

**Automated Processing Only — No Manual Intervention:** Given the time-sensitive nature of VOID processing, all VOID requests are submitted and executed exclusively through system automation. Manual VOID processing and manual fallback handling are not available. If a specific airline, booking, or scenario does not currently support automated VOID, Atlas will not be able to accept that VOID request.

**Immediate Failure Notification:** If automated execution fails, Atlas will notify the client of the failure result within 5 minutes and close the VOID process. Clients may then determine whether to take further action through other available channels based on the booking's status at that time.

#### VOID Outcome and Notes on Refund

A successfully submitted VOID request does not guarantee that the VOID will ultimately be approved, or that a refund will be issued. VOID requests may be unsuccessful due to airline policy restrictions, expiry of the VOID window, ineligible booking status, or airline system failure.

The final VOID outcome, refund status, refund amount, and refund timeline are all subject to airline rules, system response, and Atlas's reconciliation process. A successful VOID does not mean an immediate refund — the actual refund timeline depends on the airline's refund cycle, fund return processing time, and Atlas's reconciliation process.

#### Terms of Service

Before using Atlas VOID Service, please read and confirm the [Terms of Service: Atlas VOID Service](https://resources.atriptech.com/terms-of-service/atlas-void-service). The terms provide further detail on the scope of service, usage limitations, airline decisions, refund notes, and liability boundaries.
