# Spirit Airlines (NK): Shutdown & Refund Handling

Spirit Airlines has announced an immediate wind-down of operations, effective 2 May 2026. All flights have been cancelled, and Spirit's customer support channels are no longer operational.&#x20;

Atlas has taken immediate steps to manage this on your behalf. Here's what you need to know.

#### What Has Changed&#x20;

* **All Spirit Airlines (NK) flights are cancelled** with immediate effect.&#x20;
* **No airline-side customer support is available.** Spirit is no longer reachable for any assistance.&#x20;
* Atlas has suspended NK content on the platform accordingly.&#x20;

#### Refund Handling — Action Required by Payment Type&#x20;

Refund treatment depends on how the booking was made.&#x20;

**VCC Passthrough Bookings** &#x20;

No action is required on your end. Refunds will be processed automatically and returned directly to the client's card.&#x20;

**Atlas Pay Bookings**&#x20;

Please cancel the booking via ATRIP. Refunds will be remitted to you once received from the VCC provider.&#x20;

Important: **Client consent is not required — Spirit is issuing automatic refunds.** We strongly advise against raising chargebacks unless a refund is significantly delayed, as this can cause duplication issues.&#x20;

#### No Impact to Other US Carriers&#x20;

Operations for all other US carriers available on Atlas remain fully unaffected, including:&#x20;

* Alaska Airlines (AS)&#x20;
* Allegiant Air (G4)&#x20;
* Frontier Airlines (F9)&#x20;
* Sun Country Airlines (SY)&#x20;
