Last-Minute Flights

Handle near-departure flights with the LastMinuteFlight response flag and a strict confirmation window.

Last-Minute Flights

Use this guidance when an API response returns lastMinuteFlight: true.

Eligibility

A flight is last-minute when it departs within 15 hours.

A flight also qualifies when it departs before the current calendar day ends.

API response flag

Atlas returns lastMinuteFlight: true for eligible flights.

The field appears in these response objects:

  • routings from search.do, and routing from verify.do

  • offer from getOffers.do and getOfferPrice.do

  • the root response from order.do and queryOrderDetails.do

Use the flag to show a near-departure warning before payment.

{
  "status": 0,
  "orderNo": "TESTA20260826160000123",
  "lastMinuteFlight": true
}

Confirmation window

Create the order only when payment can begin immediately.

Atlas verifies fare and availability after submission.

A last-minute order has two outcomes:

  • Atlas confirms the booking and returns the PNR within five minutes.

  • Atlas cancels the order if confirmation is incomplete after five minutes.

Atlas does not guarantee successful ticketing.

Do not treat payment success as ticketing confirmation.

Follow-up and recovery

After pay.do, poll queryOrderDetails.do until a final outcome is returned.

Check orderStatus, ticketStatus, PNR details, and ticket numbers.

If the order is cancelled, use regenerateOrder.do to create a new order.

The regenerated order keeps the same last-minute handling rules.
